Sex, Drugs and 6th Graders.

I ran across the video below online and I posted it on my twitter(@FlyboyOState)and that was that. But then I REALLY thought about and I had to delve a little deeper into it, so here we are.
Ok first off I think the kid could be the next Justin Bieber, haircut included.

But seriously the kids got talent AND he's from Oklahoma!
But then when you see his song selection, and you think about who sings that particular song, and what SHE represents, everything falls apart.

If any of you reading this have ever played an instrument, a sport, or worked on a research paper, you know you have to practice over and over and fully immerse yourself into your project. Hours and hours of memorizing and repeating.

Now think about a 6th grader studying Lady Gaga's lyrics. Lady Gaga makes it a point to go against the grain (Lesbianism, Gay Activism, Gender bending, etc..)
And then think about the Parents that allowed this to be practiced and played over and over.

And the Scariest thing of All, Is that the SCHOOL allowed it to be played in front of ALL the rest of the KIDS as if to say, we stand behind Lady GaGa's image and message. Wow.

That's comparable to Me doing a rendition of 2 Live Crew "Me So Horny" or Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back" when I was a kid. And then performing it in front of my WHOLE school at an assembly. That would have been an automatic suspension, automatic ass whoopin at home and punishment for a year..lol.

But in these days it seems to be no limits to anything. Watch the video below and NOW think about it from that angle.

And if you think that's Something, you shoulda seen the 2nd graders version of Lil Wayne's I'm Single after him... lol.

Only in Oklahoma (and everywhere else)

Peace.

  1. We had this discussion at work because my coworkers daughter is eight-years-old and they are having a talent competition at school. She went over a nice dance routine with her but when her daughter went to school her and a schoolmate decide to sing a lady gaga song for the teachers. The teachers were not happy and called both of the children's parents. My coworker was beside herself because she states she doesn't even let her listen to that. My point is Lady Gaga should not have been used. This young man has talent but I think so many of our children fall into this music trap and represent people they shouldn't.

  2. He is a very talented kid, but I agree that they shouldn't have allowed him to do Lady Gaga. Do they even understand what she represents or do they just not care? Our youth are growing up in this world no values and morals....and it keeps getting worse and worse.
