Throwback Classics: Snoop on Arsenio (1993) + Eazy E gets "Lifetime Acheivement Award" (1995)

I love Hip Hop. It's up's, down's and all the in betweens.
That's why I wish that this era would realize that "dancing" is cool, and very much a part of Hip Hop. But at the same time WE are the voice of our generation. Somewhere along the way we stopped being the voice. That's why there are so many misguided youth, and so much violence. These kids don't have any role models. Just dance teachers. Now don't get it twisted, I'm not knockin' any of our "new school" artist, I'm just saying that there is no balance. Radio has COMPLETELY abandoned positivity and meaning, for the latest ringtone or dance craze. And most of the songs are Overly sexual which actually ENCOURAGES kids to engage in sexual activity (ex. Pretty Ricky, Plies, even Soulja Boy has em "kissing through the phone")
And that leads to teen pregnancy. Which Ultimately leads to Kids that have no clue raising kids that have no chance. Dont believe me? Click here and watch this
That is what the term "Hip Hop is Dead" meant. Not the actual music because it's all "Hip Hop", but the power it once had to uplift and create soldiers for the cause. It's sad to see that no one care's that our society is failing because they are to busy doing the "Stanky Leg" or the "Booty Do".

  1. You're exactly right Flyboy, we are missing people that are wanting a change, that want to teach, voice a message. People need to remember all of those things are important in music. Look how much time we spend listening to music, how much time our children spend with their ipods and so on. Flyboy you do a great job with keeping in touch with issues and we need more artist to do that.
